For the 22nd time in 65 races, Britain’s round of the world championship was won by a British driver - Lewis Hamilton.

It was Hamilton’s 27th career win (equaling Jackie Stewart’s total), his fifth of the season (the same number he won in his championship-winning season of 2008) and his second on home soil
