Hamilton extends championship lead to 17 points Mercedes win constructors championship

Lewis Hamilton won his fourth straight race to win the inaugural Russian Grand Prix in front of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, to extend his lead in the Formula One world championship to 17 points.

But his ninth win of the season, which saw him pull level with Nigel Mansell as the most successful British driver with 31, was a breeze and he drove most of the race in cruise control with his engine turned well down.
