Lewis Hamilton topped the first and second practice sessions in Abu Dhabi on Friday, narrowly finishing ahead of his world title challenger and Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg on both occasions.
Hamilton currently leads his German counterpart by 17 points in the title race and a top-two finish in the season-ending finale at the Yas Marina circuit on Sunday, regardless of the controversial double points on offer this weekend, will guarantee the 29-year-old the title.
