Lewis Hamilton finally found his best qualifying form to win pole position for the third time in six years at Monza for Sundays Italian Grand Prix.

It was his fifth pole of the season but the first time he had got there since the Spanish Grand Prix back in May. He will be further encouraged with the news that 11 of the last 14 winners at the Autodromo Di Monza have come from pole.
