Andre Lotterer to make Formula One debut at Belgian Grand Prix

Lotterer takes place of Kamui Kobayashi at Caterham German has won three out of last four Le Mans races

Andre Lotterer will make his Formula One debut at this weekends Belgian Grand Prix after replacing Kamui Kobayashi at Caterham, in what is this seasons first driver switch.

At the age of 32 years, nine months and five days, Lotterer, who is a key figure in Audis endurance racing programme having won the 24-hour Le Mans race three times in the last four years, will be the oldest driver to debut in F1 since Giovanni Lavaggi, who was 37 when he started the 1995 German Grand Prix. He will also be the fifth-oldest driver in the current grid behind Kimi Raikkonen, Jenson Button, Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso.
